Before you order

Yes. A 3 x 6 m single garage takes one kit run lengthways, from 6 to 23 hexagons. Measure the floor you train on and pick the kit that covers it.

The light is spread over dozens of tubes, so there is no one harsh point to look into. For less light overall, pick a smaller kit. The kits run at full output and do not dim.

It mounts flush to the ceiling for the most headroom. Under a high ceiling it can drop on the included suspension cables. Keep it above the reach of the bar and any overhead lift.

Not to plug it in. Each kit runs on one 1.5 m cord into a standard power point. A lit border has its own cord and takes a second socket. For a wall switch, use a licensed electrician.

Plan an afternoon, with a helper for the lift. The kit clicks together on the floor first, so every tube is tested before it goes up.

It uses about 60% less power than the fluoros it replaces. The LEDs are rated to 50,000 hours.

Yes. ULTRABEAM is RCM marked, certified to Australian electrical safety standards and ships with an earthed 3-pin plug.

Yes. Every tube, connector and cord is stocked on its own, so the layout can grow with the gym.

Sizing and install guide

Size and hang your gym lights

Measure, size and hang the kit yourself. Tap a question to open it.

Lighting standards put a gym floor at about 300 lux, or 300 lumens on each square metre. In a 3 x 6 m gym, a 9-Grid C gives over 1,400 lumens a square metre. Coverage matters more than output, so pick a kit that spans the floor you train on.

Centre it over the floor you train on and run it the long way of the room. Keep it clear of the door track, the opener rail and the top of the rack.

Measure the clear ceiling between the walls, the door tracks and any rail. Sizes read length by width: a 4.1 x 2.4 m kit is 4.1 m long. Check a power point sits within reach of the 1.5 m cord.

Yes. Light falls off with distance. From a 3.0 m ceiling, about a third less reaches the floor than from 2.4 m. Go a size up, or drop the kit on its cables.

A bigger floor takes one of the 16 longer kits, up to 9.8 m long. Or fit two kits side by side. Each fixes to timber, steel, concrete or plasterboard.

  1. Clear a patch of floor the size of the kit.
  2. Click each tube into its connector until it seats.
  3. Plug it in and check every tube lights.
  4. Lift it with a helper and screw through the connectors into the ceiling.
  5. Clip the cord along the ceiling to the power point.

You need a drill, a ladder and a tape measure.

A batten is one line of light, so you and the rack cast hard shadows. A hexagon kit spreads its tubes over the ceiling, so light reaches each station from several sides.

Daylight white. Every kit is 6500K, the colour of the midday sun. It reads bright and clean. Warm white suits a lounge more than a training floor.
