Frequently asked questions

Yes. ULTRAGRID works directly on compacted earth or gravel thanks to its open-rib design. For solid-surface tiles (ULTRATUFF, ULTRATONE), we recommend a flat concrete or timber base. Many customers install over timber bearers with plywood sheeting for a perfect result.

Absolutely. Our tiles are rated from -40°C to +120°C and are UV-stabilised, so they won't crack, fade, or warp in Australian conditions — insulated or not. We recommend leaving a small expansion gap around the edges.

Our tiles are rated to 20 tonnes per square metre. That's more than enough for workbenches, tool chests, ride-on mowers, vehicles, and heavy workshop equipment. One customer parks a 2,600 kg Hilux daily with zero issues.

The interlocking base elevates tiles slightly off the ground, creating airflow underneath. This lets moisture evaporate naturally instead of being trapped. ULTRAGRID’s open-rib design is especially good for damp sheds.

A typical shed floor (6×6m) costs approximately $1,800. That's significantly less than epoxy ($3,000–$5,000 professionally installed) and lasts 3–4× longer than concrete paint. Get an Instant Quote with exact pricing for your dimensions.

Yes — the tiles lift up just as easily as they go down. Many of our customers are renters or know they'll move eventually. Just pull them up, stack them, and reinstall at your new place. They're fully reusable.
