A black and grey chequer for a garage full of Fords

The build was a garage makeover in stages, filmed for his channel. Stage one was paint, and the walls went a dark charcoal. Stage two was the ULTRAGRID floor. A second episode fits the cupboards.

The floor mixes the two colours. In the photos it reads as a chequer, with a lighter band at the door. He was clear about who drew it up.

He laid the floor himself, from a chalk line at the door

He started where the roller door comes down. A chalk line marked it, and he worked out across the garage from there. The ramps sit on the inside of the door.

The tiles click together by hand, so the work is on your knees. He laid it in the Brisbane heat at about 35 degrees. He had one tip for anyone doing the same.

Classic cars, charcoal walls and a floor that comes too

The Mustang Mach 1 and the Falcon share the floor with a red classic sedan he is building. The charcoal walls and ceiling frame the floor. The DADZ GARAGE banner hangs on the back wall.

Nothing is fixed down. If you move, the floor comes too. Replace a single tile without lifting the floor.
