Jarome Luai is a four-time NRL premiership winner with Penrith. His Sydney garage has black-painted brick walls, a roller door and a black leather couch. Under all of it is one floor of ULTRAGRID® in Space Grey.

One colour of ULTRAGRID® that reads as a chequer

Look at the photos and you might count two greys. There is only one. Every tile is Space Grey. ULTRAGRID is the vented tile in our range. Each tile is 400 mm square, with ribs that run one way across its top. The tiles sit in alternating directions, so the ribs change direction tile by tile. That gives the floor its chequer look.

It suits the room. The walls are black-painted brick, and the couch is black leather. Against all that black, the floor is the lightest thing in the room. Space Grey edge ramps finish it in the same colour.

An ULTRABEAM™ 11-Grid Small Hexagon Light came with the floor. It does not appear in these photos. The kit is a grid of hexagon LED lights for a garage or workshop. It plugs into a power point. No hardwiring and no electrician. The light is 6500K daylight.
