Every tile on this floor is Jet Black. The tiles alternate direction, which gives the chequer you see in the photos. Jet Black ULTRAEDGE™ ramps finish the edges. With a black floor and black curtains, the bike stands out in every shot.

Laid by hand, straight onto the bare concrete

French Motion filmed the floor going down, from opening the tile carton onwards. The tiles go straight onto the bare concrete. Each one is tapped into place with a rubber mallet. The timelapse below shows it tile by tile.

The tiles click together by hand. You can lay this yourself, in a home garage or a studio.

The lights are an ULTRABEAM 3-Box kit, hung as tubes in a rectangle along the ceiling. The films show the kit unboxed, the ceiling measured and the tubes going up. Two people put them up from a ladder. ULTRABEAM gives 6500K daylight.
